Detroit rock has a sound, and Citizen Zero carry it proud. The Detroit quartet — vocalist Josh Mayle, guitarist Sammy Boller, bassist Sam Collins and drummer John Dudley — are back with a hard-hitting new single, “New America,” produced by Jim Kaufman (Return to Dust, Helmet, Everclear).
“New America” follows “Queen Of The Damned,” which earned a featured spot on SiriusXM Octane’s Test Drive, and it keeps the band’s new chapter rolling with the same riff-driven energy they built their name on.
This is not a new band finding its footing. Citizen Zero broke out nationally with their 2016 debut album State of Mind and its rock radio hit “Go (Let Me Save You),” and they have shared stages with Halestorm, ZZ Top, Royal Blood, Highly Suspect and Black Stone Cherry.
Pull up: Citizen Zero play their first hometown show of this new chapter at The Shelter in Detroit on Friday, December 4, 2026 at 7:00 PM, presented by WRIF 101.1 FM. Expect “New America” and “Queen Of The Damned” live, plus songs from State of Mind. Tickets are on sale now.
